3 THINGS TO WATCH
Packers PRESSURE: Green Bay's dismal performance on pass defense Monday against New Orleans can't all be put on the secondary. The Packers' defensive front put little pressure on Drew Brees, giving him all the time in the world to pick out his receivers. The Panthers' offensive line wants to accomplish the same thing against a Packers' defense that has just 17 sacks this season.
LLOYD'S RANGE: Panthers kickoff specialist Rhys Lloyd, who leads the league in touchbacks (21) thinks today's cold weather might affect how far his kicks go. The ball will be "hard as a rock," said Lloyd, but he won't try anything different.
RODGERS' MOBILITY: Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is an effective scrambler and keeping him in the pocket will be a focus of the Panthers. But Rodgers has seen few teams this season with the overall speed of Carolina's defense.
KEY TO THE GAME
Muhsin Muhammad
WIDE RECEIVER
Muhammad's return to the Panthers after three seasons in Chicago has helped take the pressure off No. 1 receiver Steve Smith. Muhammad has 45 catches for 601 yards and four touchdowns.
Muhammad is a tenacious down-field blocker who is a key part of the Panthers' rushing attack. He'll make it tough for Packers defensive backs to double back when running backs like DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart get past the defensive line.
Charles Woodson
CORNERBACK
He is part of a Green Bay secondary that was one of the league's strongest - until it was torched last Monday night by the Saints' Drew Brees.
With Al Harris probably covering Steve Smith, Woodson -- who has a league-leading five interceptions -- will deal with Muhammad. If he gets another pick, the Panthers need to get to him quickly: Woodson has returned two of those interceptions for touchdowns.
INSIDE THE Panthers
Today will be a reunion for Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme and one of the first offensive coordinators he played for in the NFL -- Packers coach Mike McCarthy.
Delhomme was a backup quarterback to Aaron Brooks with the New Orleans Saints from 1998-2002. For three of those seasons, McCarthy was in charge of the Saints' offense (2000-02). And while Delhomme was mostly glued to the Saints' bench, McCarthy has nothing but fond memories of their time together.
"Jake never lacked for passion," said McCarthy, who got the head-coaching job in Green Bay in 2006 and is 27-18 there. "He's clearly someone you can point to as an example for a young quarterback, and I have. As someone that has sat in the No. 3 chair and the No. 2 chair, [he] still had the ability to say the things and motivate other players in the locker room. He was never shy to speak up when things needed to be said and I always thought that was a unique part of his personality and it's definitely a big part of his leadership ability."
BY THE NUMBERS

281: Rushing yards needed by Jonathan Stewart to break team's rookie rushing record (Fred Lane, 809).
1,411: Combined yards by Williams and Stewart (fourth in the league among running-back tandems).
